5/31- 6/2 Ithaca Festival!
Silo LOVES Ithaca Festival! Join us on Cayuga Street on Friday, Saturday and Sunday to get all your Silo Favorites at one of our favorite community festivals!
The theme this year is Full STEAM Ahead; celebrating our rich history of progressive technology, our current development boom and the innovative ideas that Ithaca is known for.
Festivities begin on Thursday, May 30th at 5:30pm with the Ithaca Festival Mile Fun Run and at 6pm the Ithaca Festival Parade. This annual tradition streams south down Cayuga Street and features the most creative, most musical, and most bizarre collection of parades you’ve probably ever witnessed representing every walk of life and a little of everything that Ithaca has to offer. You’ll see the STEAM thread woven throughout.
From there, you’ll follow the parade route down to Ithaca Commons and join Danielle Ponder and the Tomorrow People at 8pm at Bernie Milton Pavilion, along with a selection of $5 bites from the Piggery and several local food vendors. Of course, no event would be complete without Ithaca Beer.
The festival continues throughout the weekend featuring dozens of food vendors, the annual DIA craft fair, the return of the Silent Disco, a kids Discovery Tent, street performers, and music on four stages including the likes of international reggae artist Jahmelody and local greats the Maddy Walsh and the Blind Spots, the Gun Poets, Rose and the Bros and a hundred others.
